The old historic whaling village of Lahaina has been transformed into a popular Maui destination featuring dozens of art galleries, unique shops and restaurants. Maui also is home to many extraordinary beaches. Makena Beach is one of our favorites. It’s located south of Wailea, it is also known as “Big Beach” and one of the island’s best beaches. The pristine waters are great for enjoy swimming, snorkeling or just catching some rays on the huge expanse of golden sand with great views of Molokini Island.
